Vivek Ramaswamy Files FOIA Demanding Information On Trump Indictment

Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican presidential candidate and prominent businessman, has made a significant announcement regarding his campaign. In a recent tweet dated June 12, Ramaswamy revealed that his campaign has taken a decisive step by filing a demand under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) with the Department of Justice (DOJ). The demand specifically pertains to the recently unsealed indictment of former President Donald Trump, which involves allegations of mishandling classified documents.

Ramaswamy wrote:

My campaign just filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) demand to uncover *exactly* what the White House communicated to Merrick Garland & Jack Smith about the unprecedented indictment of a former U.S. President & Biden’s disfavored opponent in this election. Every American deserves to know. I will host a press conference in Miami tomorrow at 10:30am ET to discuss this & another announcement. If the captured media fails to do its job, real leaders in this country need to step up and do it instead. I’m running to win this election & it’d be easier for me if Trump were eliminated from running, but that is not the right answer for our nation. America First Always.

See the FOIA below:

Ramaswamy firmly stated his intention to grant a pardon to the former president if he secures the election victory. Emphasizing his conviction, he expressed his belief that the indictment, with its glaring omissions of crucial facts and legal considerations, is an evident display of political bias. In a recent interview with CNN, he reiterated his stance, describing the indictment as a deeply politicized document.
