GOP Presidential Digest

Republicans and Democrats are constantly at odds in America, these disagreements turn into battles fought across several states and all branches of our government. These disputes are centered around political, cultural, and economic issues that we deeply care about, so it makes sense to stay informed and get involved.

This is your GOP Presidential Digest, where we are going to go over all of the subtle details in the big stories through this past week. It’s important to know all the details with dishonest journalists and fake news empires running amuck, it’s easy to read a headline and get misinformed so let’s take a look at the facts.

Republican Sean Parnell Suspends Senate Campaign

Sean Parnell has suspended his Senate Campaign after losing a custody battle over his three children.

This past Monday, Parnell released a statement announcing that the loss was devastating and that he would be moving on to another legal battle in an effort to get his children back from his estranged wife.

Sean Parnell first came into public view when he narrowly lost a US House Race last year. Parnell is a retired Army Ranger who is now running for retiring Senator Pat Toomey’s Senate seat. Parnell jumped in as a front runner after receiving an endorsement from former President Trump.

Only 4% of Americans Approve of Biden’s Leadership

A new poll shows that 96% of Americans do not think things are going “very well” in America.

This survey was given out by CBS News/YouGov, it revealed that dissatisfaction with President Biden is at an all time high. The poll showed that only 4% of the country thinks the country is doing “very well”.

This same survey found that 70% of the country believes that the country is doing “very badly” or “somewhat badly” while 26% said that the country is doing “somewhat well”.

‘Build Back Better’ is Not What Democrats(or America) Needs

Democrats in Congress have passed their $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure bill, the Build Back Better plan toted by the Biden Administration, but this has not saved them.

Voters are currently displeased with the Biden Administration and the Democrats, who have an iron grip on the legislative process, according to polling data. The center-left group, Third-Way, found that “voters couldn’t name anything that Democrats had done, except a few who said we passed the infrastructure bill.”

This massive infrastructure bill contains almost every Democrat legislative item that could not pass on its own and this has upset a lot of Americans who sit in the middle ground.

Proud Boys Leader Serving Five Months in Jail for Burning BLM Flag

The leader of the controversial Proud Boys group, Henry “Enrique” Tarrio,  is serving a five month sentence in a DC jail for burning a BLM flag in public. Many in the media have connected his arrest and sentence to the January 6th riot when in reality Tarrio was not there. Tarrio’s sentence stems from his burning of a BLM flag and having two unloaded handgun magazines on his person at the time of his arrest.

The Proud Boys is a fraternity that started out of New York when conservative commentator and founder of Vice Media, Gavin McInnis, wanted to create a club where pro-Trump New Yorkers could speak openly. The group quickly turned to running security for McInnis when he would speak at events and eventually general security for other groups at protests and riots.

The Proud Boys were accused by the MSM of being a radical White Nationalist Group becuase of their many public brawls with members of Antifa, a radical domestic terror orginization.

Paul Crespo on AAN wrote

Whatever anyone may think of Tarrio or the Proud Boys (far left groups call it ‘far right,’ ‘extremist’ and a ‘hate’ group), his crime here was as minor as it gets, especially considering the violence and mayhem caused by both BLM/Antifa rioters in the summer of 2020, and those rioting at the Capitol on January 6.

This appears to be another case of selective political persecution rather than any type of reasonable justice or prosecution.

However, along with defendants also charged with minor crimes from the January 6 riot, Tarrio claims he has endured “serious abuses of his rights on a daily basis” while being held in a segregation unit at the DC jail.

According to Tarrio, jail employees have ignored his requests for medical treatment, thrown cold, often inedible meals into his cell and denied him access to running water in his cell.

Republican Governor Slams Trump Over Endorsement

Maryland’s Republican Governor, Larry Hogan, slammed former President Donald Trump after he had endorsed another candidate in the race for governor.

Trump had endorsed Maryland state Delegate Daniel Cox for Governor as opposed to current governor Larry Hogan. Hogan tweeted “personally, I’d prefer endorsements from people who didn’t lose Maryland by 33 points,” in response to the endorsement.
