LOS ANGELES — 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke told the Washington Examiner that if elected president, he would forbid the family of those serving in his administration to work on any foreign boards, like Hunter Biden’s role in the Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings.
Despite that answer, O’Rourke told reporters that he still believes President Trump should be impeached following a whistleblower complaint that alleged he engaged in inappropriate behavior by asking the president of Ukraine investigate the Biden family in exchange for military aid.
“There is no reason [to look] into Joe Biden or his son Hunter Biden,” he said. “They have been cleared of any wrongdoing whatsoever. The focus has to be on Donald Trump, the crimes he’s committed, the crimes he’s committing right now almost every single day, adding to the need for him to be indicted or impeached.”
