Gavin Newsom Says the Quiet Part Out Loud

Far-left California Gov. Gavin Newsom is blowing the whistle on the Democrats’ failures in a rare condemnation of his party. Newsom is saying that Democrats are being “destroyed” on messaging. He also is saying that Democrats are being “crushed on narrative” as the November 8 election is just a little less than one week away.

The Hill reports:

“We’re getting crushed on narrative. We’re going to have to do better in terms of getting on the offense and stop being on the damn defense,” Newsom told CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett in an interview that aired Wednesday.

Newsom in the interview also acknowledged the midterm environment feels like a red wave. Democrats have sought to tone down the possibility that Republicans could see success in both the House and Senate next week, but Newsom said he was being “pragmatic.”

“I’m not paid to say that. I’m paid to say, you know, ‘fate and feel.’ I mean, I get it. Look, I mean, I could be the cheerleader. I’m also pragmatic, you feel it,” he said.

Newsom has been widely floated as a 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, and he’s launched ads in red states like Florida and Texas, an unusual move for a Democrat.

Although Newsom hampered any speculation that he may be interested in the presidency in 2024, he is still seen as a frontrunner. He also has been making political moves that signify he will be making a bid for the White House provided Joe Biden does not run again.

Gavin Newsom for president? That’s the best joke I’ve heard in a long time. Does he seriously think the rest of the country wants to end up like California, New York, Oregon, Washington and every other state that has been demolished by the progressive socialist Democrats? We want to rebuild this country, not tear it to shreds to fit unrealistic goals being aggressively forced on us by those who have thrown the Constitution aside in favor of forced mandates and edicts. We want those in elected positions to remember that they work for We, the People, not the other way around.
