Walker benefitted from Trump’s endorsement early in his campaign, but now he says he’s angry at remarks Trump has made about Walker’s decision to run.
Before Walker announced his campaign, former President Donald Trump repeatedly hinted at the possibility and spoke with Walker about his potential.
Now, according to The Hill, Walker is denying Trump’s involvement in his ultimately successful primary election.
“One thing that people don’t know is President Trump never asked me,” Walker said in an interview on Revolt TV. “President Trump never came out and said ‘Herschel, will you run for that Senate seat?’”
