National Guard Called in To STOP Trucker Protest

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin calling in the National Guard ahead of the American Freedom Convoy trucker protest.

Austin has given the green light to local authorities in DC to use the National Guard to shut down a protest set to take place around DC. The aim of the protesters is to shut down the DC beltway and voice concerns over vaccine mandates and the authoritarian leanings of the Biden administration.

The protest itself is a copy of the Canadian protest that took place over the last few weeks, that protest was brought to a screeching halt when the Canadian prime minister used his executive power to arrest protesters and freeze assets of protesters.

Supreme Court Issues Blow to Trump

The Supreme Court has issued a major blow to Trump as they have rejected his appeal to block Trump-era records from falling into the hands of the January 6th commission.

The House Select Committee that is investigating the January 6th capitol riot would like to access records from the Trump administration but they have been thwarted up until now. They brought the issue to court and won, now that Trump’s appeal to the Supreme Court has failed they will be able to access these records.

Democrat Representative Ruben Gallego has suggested that police impound the trucks going into the city and that they then give those trucks to small businesses. “Perfect time to impound and give the trucks to small trucking companies looking to expand their business,” read a tweet from Gallego.
