Virginia House Approves Optional Mask Law
Republicans in Virginia have approved an optional mask law for schools. The bill will allow students to choose not to wear a mask to public schools.
There was a lot of controversy caused by Virginia Governor Youngkin when he signed an executive order ending the mask mandates in school. This executive order resulted in several lawsuits as well as school officials declaring that they were going to ignore the order from Youngkin.
The new bill in the Virginia House of Delegates is meant to go around these lawsuits. The law will take effect immediately and schools have until March 1st to comply.
Texas Attorney General Sues Facebook
Facebook is being sued by the Texas AG.
Texas AG Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the Meta Company over its capturing of biometric data from Texans without proper consent.
It is being alleged in the lawsuit that Facebook did not properly notify its users that it was storing their biometric data. In a statement, AG Paxton said “Facebook will no longer take advantage of people and their children with the intent to turn a profit at the expense of one’s safety and well-being.”
Chris Cuomo Faces Sexual Assault Allegations
Former CNN Contributor Chris Cuomo is now facing sexual assault allegations of his own.
Several months ago Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN for allegedly helping his brother cover up sexual assault allegations, now it appears that he may have been fired for having sexual assault allegations of his own.
According to a letter sent to media, a woman claims she and Chris Cuomo had lunch in his officer where he badgered her for sex. When the woman declined, Cuomo allegedly assaulted her and she had to flee the office.
Dana Perino Shreds AOC
Fox News Host Dana Perino took a swing at Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during a segment of “The Five” last week.
The segment opened with Jesse Waters saying “The radical left coming up with the most ridiculous excuse yet for the surge in crime: baby formula. Yeah, Jesse Jr.’s drink of choice is apparently causing people to steal like crazy and savagely murder innocent people without remorse.”
It was following this that Dana Perino spoke up and said “She drives me insane. This makes me so mad.” Dana then continued “It’s not Jean Valjean out there stealing bread, we’ve seen the smash and grabs. And also, why isn’t AOC commenting about the women being targeted in New York City? Where are you? Where are you on that?” Perino asked. “The woman who was murdered in her room by the homeless guy, three priors, living in a homeless shelter is not waiting on the child tax credit. That is not why he followed her into her room, stabbed her to death, and hid under her bed”
Dana finished her monolog with ““She’s not serious. She thinks she’s too good for Congress. Maybe, she will figure out a way where she wants to do something else. She already says that she does not make enough money there. It’s hard when you have a Tesla, $174,000 a year. She said Democracy would end back in ten years, but three years ago, she said the world was going to end due to climate change, meaning we have about nine years left. Thankfully, according to her math, the world will not exist by the time democracy runs out of the hourglass.”
Republican Senator Creates Fresh Opposition by Blocking Biden Court Pick
Republican Senator Ron Johnson is creating new opposition for President Biden by blocking his court pick. Senator Johnson signaled that he will not support Biden pick to fill a district court vacancy in his home state. This will likely result in the position not being filled.
Court Nominee William Pocan was nominated to be a district judge in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Pocan is not from the area and the legal community in the area has come out against the nominee, this is likely why Johnson is not supporting the nominee.
