Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been permanently suspended from Twitter.
This suspension was due to the fifth strike against Greene’s account, which has been suspended several times by Twitter for spreading misinformation about the coronavirus and the 2020 elections.
“We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” a Twitter spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. “We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”
While Greene’s account was permanently suspended, her congressional account, @RepMTG, is still active.
