Supreme Court Deals Blow to Michigan Governor

Michigan’s Supreme Court said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s coronavirus executive restrictions violated the state’s constitution.

On Friday, the state’s high court ruled in a 4-3 decision that the Democratic governor did not have the power to continue its restrictions under two laws passed in 1976 and 1945, describing the act as an “unlawful delegation of legislative power to the executive branch in violation of the Michigan Constitution.”

“Accordingly, the executive orders issued by the Governor in response to the COVID-19 pandemic now lack any basis under Michigan law,” the ruling reads.

It notes a wide variety of businesses that had to close as a result of the orders, including “restaurants, food courts, cafes, coffeehouses, bars, taverns, brew pubs, breweries, microbreweries, distilleries, wineries, tasting rooms, clubs, hookah bars, cigar bars, vaping lounges, barbershops, hair salons, nail salons, tanning salons, tattoo parlors, schools, churches, theaters, cinemas, libraries, museums, gymnasiums, fitness centers, public swimming pools, recreation centers, indoor sports facilities, indoor exercise facilities, exercise studios, spas, casinos, and racetracks.”

Did they forget to include churches that were forced to close and the threats she made against them? Amazing. I wonder if the GOP really loves religious rights or if it’s just hot air? Please prove my doubts wrong.

This woman needs to be removed from office. The continual smirk on her
face like she can do whatever she wants should enrage every Michigander
Don’t the people care about their state. I also live in a state with a dictator for
governor but he is certainly not as evil as this woman. Michiganders said up.

Now, people of Michigan get that Hag out of office and vote in a Republican that will clean up Michigan. Need to arrest and convict that Radical Islamic Omar for paying people to forge ballots, when they got caught red handed and on video ! Revoke her citizenship and deport her along with her whole family !

We the voting public have red heard and saw many “elected” officials do and continue doing unlawful acts yet none have been made to pay for these acts. If they happen to get sued the taxpayer is stuck with the bill. When does those we let have power pay for their crimes? Remember, ignorance of the law is no excuse so these orders remain a crime and yet she does not get any action against her.

We hired them so we can fire them. Who in the heck do they think they are – kings? We have allowed this and now must disband this asap.

Unfortunately our lawless Michigan Governor and lapdog Attorney General Nessel are already ignoring the Supreme Court. Instead, they intend to lock down the state county by county using public health departments they say they control. So again, the law means nothing to a politician hungry for power and who enjoys destroying people, companies and jobs. She also continues to send Covid positive people into retirement homes in an effort to increase the death count.
