McConnell Makes Big Promise on Trump’s Supreme Court Nominee

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said unequivocally Friday night that President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee to fill the vacancy of late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg “will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”

Ginsburg, 87, died Friday from complications surrounding metastatic pancreas cancer.

“The Senate and the nation mourn the sudden passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the conclusion of her extraordinary American life,” McConnell said in a statement Friday.

“In the last midterm election before Justice Scalia’s death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck president’s second term. We kept our promise,” McConnell continued. “Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president’s Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year.”

The democrats have to be very busy hiring bimbos who will LIE under oath about whoever President Trump nominates to be the next supreme court justice. Most likely they have a large group of well paid women who will testify under oath that President Trump’s nominee is a pervert. It took the woman who swore under oath that Kavanaugh was a sexual pervert four years before she admitted that she lied about him. Back in the old days slander, libel and defamation of character were crimes. These days none of the old laws mean anything anymore. Destroying a person’s reputation, arson, theft, damaging other people’s property, physical attacks and even murder are acceptable. If the police do catch and imprison the criminals, they are usually released from prison almost immediately by far left communist mayors and governors who are hell bent upon destroying our republic and replacing it with communism.

O’Connell ought to comment that those Republican Senators who act to block Trump’s SCOTUS nomination will be thrown out of the Senate by intraparty vote if he wins re-election and increases his Senate majority. But he probably won’t.

This comment brings back memories of an old “democrat” Speaker of the House named Sam Rayburn — “When you’ve got the votes, call the roll” !!

I support bringing a constitutional protector nominee and it should be done now before the election. The Dems will try to block it and can be expected to be obstructionist in any event. Play hardball.

We need 9 Justices as the Dems will sue on the election results if Trump wins.
