Popular Red State Dem Announces Senate Run

Via The Washington Examiner:

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock announced on Monday that he is running for Senate as Democrats try to increase their chances of winning the majority.

He previously said he would not run for Senate in 2020. His change of heart gives Democrats a chance of picking up one of the four Republican seats they need to retake control of the Senate.

Bullock, who reached his term limit in his current role, is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Steve Daines, who is in his first term.

Bullock ended his candidacy for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination in December after entering the race relatively late, complicating his efforts to gain momentum in the crowded field.
