Warren Blasts ‘Egomaniac’ Rival

Sen. Elizabeth Warren condemned rival Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg a day before the two will face off in a debate in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Massachusetts Democrat criticized the inclusion of the former New York City mayor, saying he “bought his way” into the debate after the Democratic National Committee loosened the requirements for participation in the ninth Democratic debate.

“It’s a shame Mike Bloomberg can buy his way into the debate,” tweeted Warren. “But at least now primary voters curious about how each candidate will take on Donald Trump can get a live demonstration of how we each take on an egomaniac billionaire.”

Bloomberg has risen sharply in national and Super Tuesday polling, surpassing support for former Vice President Joe Biden, former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and Warren. Bloomberg is expected to be attacked over his support of stop and frisk and for the massive amount of money he has spent nationwide ahead of the critical Super Tuesday primaries in early March.
