Ex-GOP Congressman Says He’s Ready To Do The Unthinkable On Impeachment

Via The Washington Examiner:

Independent Rep. Justin Amash said he intends on voting to impeach President Trump when the House votes on articles of impeachment.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi directed each of the committee heads to begin writing up articles of impeachment on Thursday based on the president’s actions in pressing Ukrainian officials to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.

Amash, 39, who left the Republican Party in July, told CNN’s Manu Raju that he was ready to vote for articles of impeachment regarding obstruction of Congress, obstruction of justice, and abuse of power, but he added that he’d want to see the final language before making a final decision.

The Michigan representative’s willingness to vote in favor of obstruction of justice could indicate that the articles of impeachment include actions predating the Ukrainian controversy, while one top Democrat has supported that as well.
