CNN to Host New Townhall In Honor Of Surprising Group

Via The Washington Examiner:

CNN host Don Lemon announced that his network would hold another town hall marathon in October covering LGBT issues.

Lemon’s announcement followed a seven-hour town hall on climate change Wednesday involving 10 Democratic presidential candidates.

“CNN is partnering with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for our next series of presidential town halls on issues that are important to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community,” Lemon said after the climate change town hall with New Jersey Sen. Corey Booker.

The LGBT town hall series will be held at The Novo theater in Los Angeles on Oct. 10. To participate, CNN is requiring candidates to meet the same qualifications used by the Democratic National Committee for the Sept. 12 debate: receive 2% support in four qualifying national polls and amass donations from 130,000 donors. The candidates have until Sept. 25 to qualify.
