Here’s What Cops Found at the Home of Lib Threatening Steve Scalise

More than one year after he was nearly killed while practicing for the annual congressional charity baseball game, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) faced another threat on his life — and the lives of his children.

Fortunately, authorities moved quickly to arrest the man allegedly behind the threats, Carlos Bayon, charging him with interstate communication of a threat and threatening to kill two members of Congress; he also threatened Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.).

While upstate New York law enforcement has yet to divulge the evidence against Bayon, an affidavit filed in federal court in Buffalo last week included an itemized list of evidence investigators said they found in Bayon’s home.

Among the items found were 150 rounds of 7.62-millimeter rifle ammunition, which is used in rifles like the AR-10 and AK-47, and 50 rounds of shotgun ammunition, according to
