John McCain Gets UNEXPECTED Response After Tweet

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., lost almost 20,000 Twitter followers this week after he asked for more.

McCain announced on Monday that his Twitter account was only 74 followers short of 3 million, and asked his followers to “spread the word” to help him reach “this big milestone.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, McCain’s account had 2,982,983 followers, showing a clear backfire of the senator’s social media strategy.

Many of the top replies to McCain’s call for more followers include criticism over his decision to “yes” on the GOP tax bill that was passed by the Senate on Friday.
