A woman has come forward accusing GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager.
Beverly Young Nelson said during a news conference on Monday alongside attorney Gloria Allred that the incidents occurred when she was 15 and 16.
During the news conference, Nelson said Moore told her after the alleged incident: “You are a child. I am the District Attorney of Etowah County. If you tell anyone about this, no one will believe you.”
Allred said Nelson had kept the allegations a secret because she “feared” Moore, who was serving as a defense attorney in Etowah County.
