Houston will not be on President Trump’s itinerary when he visits the Lone Star State on Tuesday, Gov. Greg Abbott said Monday.
“The place he will be going to will not be Houston so [he] will not be getting into harm’s way or interrupting the evacuations or emergency response in the Houston area,” Abbott said on “CBS This Morning.”
“He most likely will be going closer to where the hurricane hit land,” he added, according to a report in Politico.
The White House announced Sunday that the president would travel to Texas on Tuesday but didn’t provide details on exactly where he would visit.
