A 16-year-old boy in the Bronx blasted the song “F*ck Tha Police” out of his apartment window as thousands of police officers attended a funeral service for slain Ofc. Miosotis Familia, executed by a gunman as she sat in her cruiser.
The teenager, Julien Rodriguez, 16, told the New York Post that it was “satisfying” to play the song — by a group called NWA, or Niggaz Wit Attitudes — over and over from his third-story apartment on East 188 Street. He said he did it because his older brother and best friend were unjustifiably killed by cops.
“Since they did not show respect for my brother and my friend, why should I show respect to them?” the teen told The Post.
About 20 officers went up to the apartment to try to halt the music, with one cop speaking to the teen in Spanish about his own time growing up as a Latino in the city, law-enforcement sources said.
